Last updated: August 1, 2026

Cuban Medical Services (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal and health information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have over your data.

Information We Collect

  • Contact details: full name, email address, phone number, and country.
  • Medical information: the treatment you are interested in, your message, uploaded medical reports, and a copy of your passport, when you submit an evaluation request.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and usage analytics collected to improve our services.

How We Use Your Information

  • To assess your eligibility and coordinate your medical evaluation and treatment in Cuba.
  • To communicate with you about your inquiry, travel logistics, and appointments.
  • To share your medical records with the treating hospital or specialist, with your consent.
  • To improve our website, content, and patient experience.

Legal Basis

We process your data based on your consent when you submit an evaluation request, and to take steps at your request before entering into a treatment arrangement. For patients in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we comply with the GDPR.

Data Sharing

We share your personal and medical information only with the Cuban hospitals, physicians, and authorized service providers involved in your care, and only as necessary to facilitate your treatment. We never sell your data to third parties.

International Transfers

Because treatment takes place in Cuba, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your residence. We take reasonable measures to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and to comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data at any time, subject to record-keeping requirements.

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website and analyze traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to minors. We do not knowingly collect data from children without parental consent.
